Welcome, story lover. Whether you’ve arrived here by chance or followed the thread of a story through the wild woods of the web, I’m glad you’ve arrived.

I’m Marcus Pibworth, a storyteller based in the wild foothills of the Black Mountains, West Herefordshire. I tell folktales, myths, and wonder tales that speak to timeless truths and the magic of being human in a way that has been described is heartfelt, a little anarchic, sometimes dark, often humorous, and always rooted in genuine connection.

I’ve honed my craft under the guidance of many experienced storytelling mentors including Jan Blake, Daniel Morden and the School of Storytelling, blending tradition with a raw, personal edge. Alongside this, I work with applied story as a way to help people feel heard, seen, and more connected - to themselves, to others, and to the natural world. I run workshops and gatherings, often in wild or outdoor spaces, where traditional and biographical stories are shared in honest, open settings.

I believe storytelling is a deeply human tool that helps us make sense of who we are and reminds us of our place in the web of life.

Stories live within us. They are waiting to dance from our lips by the light of a fire and to weave their way into our hearts and minds. They are the soul food our stomachs crave. They connect us to ourselves, to our communities, to our people and the ground we stand on. They open windows and doors into other ways of seeing and being. Stories are the whispers of our ancestors showing us the way. They pump through our veins and reverberate to the beat of our drumming hearts.
